Initiatives in development

An initiative is a piece of work the project chooses to develop, such as a study, an event or a useful tool. These eight initiatives show what the project is working towards, why it matters and where you could contribute. Each has a defined scope and a costed proposal. Their funding stages appear in the milestone sequence.

Preliminary wind study is already funded and underway. Streaming and field recording equipment is the next open priority. The other initiatives provide the tools, shared foundations and studies that will carry the work further.

Preliminary wind study

Funded · In progress. Work and resource value: CHF 7,988.35, plus actual travel.

Before the wind response study, this preliminary wind study uses a small integrated procedure. It records randomized no-practitioner, passive-presence, active-practice and settlement phases; nests one concealed CHANGE/HOLD comparison inside active practice after a 20-second post-readiness baseline; and includes a bounded randomized tree-region camera module. The current protocol uses a calibrated response window and keeps global, local and tree outcomes separate while retaining one study record.

The work covers preparing and checking the setup, qualifying the delivered recording chain and response timing, carrying out the global, local and tree modules, evaluating the recordings and sharing a complete preliminary report. The supplied software covers the earlier two-trigger local comparison; it must be aligned with the revised single-command and multi-module protocol before scored collection. Denis and one helper carry out the work and review the recordings and results; no separate researcher or human numerical evaluator is required. What we learn will help us judge the practical measurement approach and shape further research.

The budget values fourteen hours of Denis's work and nine hours of a helper's work at CHF 1,500. The supplied software, received sensor and stand, and use of existing resources are valued at CHF 6,488.35. Travel time and expenses are recorded from the actual journeys, outside those work hours. These resources are part of the funded project work. The wind response study has its own scope and budget.

Streaming and field recording equipment

Equipment and materials budget: CHF 5,526.47.

This setup would connect streaming using the existing camera and computer with portable livestreaming and recording outdoors. It would support documenting practical work and its surroundings, making usable recordings and sharing experiences more clearly.

The proposal reuses the existing camera, lenses, computer and phone. It includes portable and 360-degree recording, wearable audio, storage and backup, stable supports and two complete streaming lights with softboxes and stands. Environmental instruments and near-infrared recording, which captures light just beyond the visible red range, would add context to selected recordings. The wind sensor used in the preliminary wind study is shared across suitable activities.

Completion means the equipment is available and checked for its intended functions. We match existing accessories against the requirements and confirm compatibility and delivered prices before acquisition. Recording work, travel and operating services have separate allocations.

Project leadership and development

Budget: CHF 15,600 for the first thirteen weeks.

This funding would give Denis sustained time to lead and develop the Lovefield Project. His work would include developing and preparing studies, building the website, and advancing the project's practical, educational and community work. He would bring contributors together, coordinate priorities and resources, and develop relationships with supporters.

The proposal provides for 208 hours of work, averaging sixteen hours a week. Three progress updates would share what has developed, how resources have been used and what comes next. The agreed work and its reporting define completion of this first period.

Study-specific work is covered by each study. Website implementation and shared design have their own budgets. We allocate work to the responsibility it serves so that each contribution is counted once.

Legal structure and first operating year

Base budget: CHF 52,808.48 for setup and the first twelve operating months.

The proposal would give commercial development and research separate organizational homes with clear responsibilities. It would establish a Swiss limited liability company, a GmbH, owned by Denis for commercial development, alongside a research association with independent control over its funds, compensation, suppliers, assets and publication.

The work includes establishing the organizations, agreeing responsibilities and governance, transferring the relevant activities and relationships, and setting up banking, accounting and administration. The budget provides CHF 25,972.98 for setup and CHF 26,835.50 for the first operating year. Conditional association registration and separate accounting software add CHF 1,408.04 if needed. Taxes, employment charges, insurance and transfer costs follow the actual arrangements.

CHF 20,000 in company capital forms part of the financing. After registration, it can fund properly allocated company spending and is counted once in the financing picture. The company and research association keep their own resource allocations.

Completion puts the agreed structure, responsibilities and first-year operating arrangements in place. Pingin Reality remains the current website operator and designated payment recipient, identified in the imprint.

Complete visual identity

Budget: CHF 36,829.72 for a complete identity designed from scratch.

A coherent visual identity would help people recognize the project across its website, practical encounters, events and publications. This initiative covers the full design process: understanding the project, exploring concepts, developing the selected identity and preparing a reusable system of assets and guidance.

The agreed applications include website layouts and core journeys, cards, two shirts and a hoodie, car stickers, a handout and display, and templates for presentations, reports and social or video material. The system defines the mark, colours, typography and image treatment. Review, production preparation and the handover of editable files and usage rights are part of the work.

The budget includes CHF 32,121.99 for professional design, CHF 2,601.88 in tax provision, CHF 1,800 for project briefing and review, and CHF 305.85 for fonts and assets. The full creation scope and listed applications are included. Shared design is funded once, while website programming and physical production have their own allocations.

Completion delivers the approved designs and usable files for the agreed applications. The website can continue using its approved identity while this initiative develops.

Website development

Base budget: CHF 35,154.75 for twelve weeks, plus attributable service costs.

The initial website foundation is complete. Further development would make the website a more useful home for project life: a place to understand the work, follow initiatives and funding, find ways to contribute and share an experience.

This package builds on the existing bilingual site, payment, feedback, contact, subscription and analytics foundations. It applies approved content and design to the agreed pages and journeys, completes the selected service connections, and includes accessibility, testing, release preparation and handover. Ordinary feedback helps us understand people's interactions and refine future research; the natural encounter experience study's collection system has its own scope and consent process.

The budget includes CHF 33,954.75 for development and project review, plus CHF 1,200 for three months of ChatGPT access used in website work. This shared subscription is budgeted here once. Other services follow their actual attributable bills; visual design is covered by the identity initiative.

Completion delivers the agreed working website features with verified behaviour and a clear handover.

Develop and carry out the wind response study

Whole-study budget: CHF 48,215.93, including CHF 3,404 for initial preparation.

This small outdoor study would test whether specified actions during energy work are followed by repeatable changes in wind speed at one fixed point. It would compare a visible movement with holding its starting position, and an internal release of muscle tension with maintaining the starting tension. The two comparisons would be assessed separately. The study proposal explains the measurements, physical controls and how the findings would be interpreted.

Initial preparation defines the comparisons, equipment and recording requirements, ordinary physical causes to assess, and the review and permissions needed. Later preparation develops the equipment and physical controls. Separate measurements and independent review test that assessment, and a pilot helps settle timing and the number of comparisons. Fresh confirmation is planned after PLOS ONE accepts the protocol.

The budget covers preparation, one funding application, equipment checks and control development, independent validation and review, the pilot, protocol development, confirmation, analysis and reporting. It includes the two planned journal publication stages, one round of responses to reviewers at each stage and three years of study-record custody. The CHF 2,000 provision for ethics review is included in the total. Work after initial preparation accounts for CHF 44,811.93.

Denis would participate as the practitioner. Contributions can include experimental methods, airflow measurement and physical controls, recording, analysis and independent review. Suitable equipment or agreed use of shared resources can meet a need directly. The separate preliminary wind study is already funded; the wind response study appears later in the funding order.

The completed work would include the study report, a complete record of the comparisons and departures from the procedure, accessible analysis, and agreed custody of the records. Together these make the work available for examination and further learning.

Natural encounter experience study

Study budget: CHF 77,420.

This study would document what people report experiencing during ordinary encounters with Denis, using voluntary ratings and descriptions. Its purpose is to understand those experiences and their context. The study proposal explains the question, method and participant experience.

The budget covers the research and technical work, 232 hours of Denis's study-specific work, services, materials and travel, with provision for the applicable review, language and insurance needs. Project leadership and shared visual identity have separate scopes and are counted once.

Preparation establishes the protocol, responsibilities, review and resources. A small pilot would guide the decision about whether and how to proceed with main collection, including the collection target and calendar. The completed work would include the methods, analysis, findings for participants, a manuscript prepared for publication and arrangements for the study records.
